    Its Fresh Music Friday Darkoo x Asake should have been a moment. On paper, the collaboration makes complete sense. Two distinct artists with strong identities, great energy and the ability to create something that cuts across markets. For me though, the record just doesn’t quite get there. It’s not a bad song by any stretch, and there are elements that work, but with the level of talent involved, I expected something more memorable. A stronger hook, a bigger moment, something that immediately makes you want to run it back. Sometimes the expectation attached to a collaboration can work against the actual record, and maybe that’s the case here. I just feel like there was so much more that could have been pulled from this pairing. Will it grow on me? Possibly. But on first listen, it doesn’t quite move the needle.Short video

    From the moment you became a mother, @whitney.moka I have watched you discover a strength in yourself that still leaves me in awe. The patience, tenderness, courage and love with which you have embraced motherhood have only made me fall even more deeply in love with you. Watching you care for our son, protect him and pour yourself into him has shown me another side of the incredible woman I married. Through every sleepless night, every worry, every adjustment and every new experience, you have carried yourself with a strength and grace that I will never stop admiring. Making me a first time boy dad is the greatest gift of my life. They say your life changes when you have a child, but I do not think anything could have prepared me for a love this immense. My heart knows no bounds when it comes to the love I have for our son, and seeing the woman I love become his mother makes it even more special. As we enter this new phase of our lives, I promise to continue to protect you, love you, support you and be present every single day. We are learning this new life together, and there is no one else I would rather share it with. I have absolutely no doubt that you will continue to be the most amazing mother to our son, while I handle the equally important responsibility of preparing him to follow in the footsteps of Max Verstappen and become a future Formula 1 World Champion.
